Well, I’m not sure how many of you actually check this site anymore (I myself have been exceedingly lax concerning this page and I will make it my New Year’s Resolution to update more), but we had our last meeting on December the 8th.

No more until next year, and it’ll either be the first Tuesday we get back or we’ll announce the date that PhotC returns over the announcements.

Go study, kids.

Club notes, October 21

Although I wasn’t at the meeting, I hear that we took a fall photoshoot excursion into the forest.

Club notes, Sept 23

So obviously, there haven’t been notes for the past 2 weeks or something. Why? Well, your secretary (and website updater) also has debate practice, which she must attend too.

But it’s okay, because mainly we’ve been critiqueing photos. (Except last week, I hear we did something awesome and I missed it. D:) And it’d be nice of someone other than the Council critiquing on the photos for once.

ANYWAYS. yes, we critiqued today. But we also brought up the topic of contests! The prizes and dates are still being determined. However, it’s a fact that the first theme will be macros. Very broad, but you can do anything with ‘em – eyes, black and white, diptychs… Start brainstorming ideas! The official start and end date will be announced both here and on the flickr NHS group page.

Club notes, August 26

First meeting of PhotC today! Basically, we just introduced ourselves, went over the basic rules of the club, and answered questions. The only rules you really need to know are:

• no cellphone cameras
• be in the room at 4:00
• must attend at least 3 meetings in a month
• no food in the room (Gelbaum rule)

For the next meeting:

• bring a camera
• bring $5
• have a flickr account
• upload or have on a USB drive some good photos to get critiqued
• have some ideas for fund-raising

And a reminder to the models – unless you are also going to be taking pictures, there’s no need for you to come to the meetings. We will contact you when you are needed for a photoshoot!

Club Fair

So, Club Fair turned out pretty well today – a lot of new members and models! :3

Club Notes, February 5

We didn’t really do much. We looked through Vivian’s new book about photography though half the people weren’t really listening. Seriously guys, we’d really appreciate it if you could at least pretend to be interested about photography and not the Korean language from time to time.

 Epsi talked a bit about doing fireworks pictures one day, though it’s uncertain how that’s going to work out, as it’s impossible to set fireworks off at school.

 There was a bit of photo critique, and Epsi talked about lighting some.

Yup yup. That’s about it.
