Club Notes, February 5

We didn’t really do much. We looked through Vivian’s new book about photography though half the people weren’t really listening. Seriously guys, we’d really appreciate it if you could at least pretend to be interested about photography and not the Korean language from time to time.

 Epsi talked a bit about doing fireworks pictures one day, though it’s uncertain how that’s going to work out, as it’s impossible to set fireworks off at school.

 There was a bit of photo critique, and Epsi talked about lighting some.

Yup yup. That’s about it.

Club Notes, Jan. 22

At the beginning, Vivian was designated as puller-downer-thingie. In other words, she pulls down the…..sheet thing for the projector to project images on. Because she’s tall enough. :3 (Though later, we decided we had no use for that and just used the whiteboard as the screen.)

 The projector was, as usual, color-impaired. Pink flowers became blue. But basically all we did was critique photos. That later became an ADD-meeting. Like always. Cherry and I started doodling on the board. And everyone else did their own thing. Epsi and…other people were just lookin at photos on Flickr. Though not really for photo-educational purposes.

At the start, it was actually fairly productive. We started out looking at Vivian’s pictures, namely her photo of her sister. We noted that she may have cavities. (The photo was her sis with an open mouth trying to catch snow, giving us a brilliant view of her mouth.)

…we also learned not to use flash on a sunny day. Though I’m still trying to figure out why. D:

 Afterwards, we looked at Jennifer L.’s pictures, who has much potential and stunningly pretty pictures, but just needs to touch-up on them and do little things to improve. ^-^ Good job, Jennifer~

 After much messing around, the website was introduced to everyone and was just…..yeah, everyone now knows about it. And anyone who wants to see their photo on the site to the right of this entry should put their pictures on Flickr into the group pool. And then Epsi’ll feed it onto this site.

 Another note here – apparently Vivian (because we were lame and searched it on Google) lives in California. And there’s actually a “photc.com”. And a Japanese pHOTc (though they spell it funny.) And…yeah.
